Meet Dr. Welebir

Dr. Welebir completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.  A former human rights advocate to the United Nations, his work on behalf of at-risk populations is the foundation for his open, honest communication style.

His gynecology practice provides an unhurried environment where you are encouraged to discuss your health, from practical needs to the most sensitive concerns, confident that he is listening and will work with you, together, toward a solution. 

He believes strongly in a proactive approach to prevention and the important contributions both traditional and non-traditional therapies can offer towards the goal of making surgical intervention the last resort, not the first suggestion.

Dr. Welebir is married to Valerie Welebir, a founder of apparel line Bacabuche, and the father of son Joaquin and daughter Quincy.  He is an avid surfer, diver, and runner.
